It’s amazing what you can do with an arid piece of land given time and money. The latest man-made addition to the ‘new’ Tenerife and the island’s newest beach, Playa La Enramada in Costa Adeje was declared open this week. It was the completion of the first phase of the development of the area for tourism which will ultimately see the extension of the promenade and the construction of an urban park (whatever that is). Now the four and five star hotels backing the shoreline have a decent beach to live up to their flashy facades.
Oh, and if the beach at Los Cristianos seems slightly smaller, some of its sand was used to create the new beach.
