Looking for something different to do on Christmas Day rather than slob round the telly with a swollen belly watching The Great Escape or, if you’ve only got Spanish TV, El Gran Escape?What could be more romantic than wrapping up and taking a trip to Santa Cruz for the traditional annual concert by the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife at the Dársena del Puerto de Santa Cruz. This year sees Chilean soprano Cristina Gallardo-Domâs, who the Independent newspaper described as taking “the roof off the Royal Opera House” (I assume that’s a compliment), performing arias by Puccini.
