There’s a right odd mix of activities taking place on Playa de las Teresitas during the Anaga Emerge Festival in the run up to San Juan. Extreme Sport enthusiasts can opt to surf, dive, paraglide, climb and skateboard (on a beach…I don’t think so; must be in the car park) whilst more environmental friendly types can save the world, or at least help it out a bit by cleaning the seabed (hmmm, cleaning or skateboarding? which is going to appeal the most I wonder) and releasing turtles into the sea (I did that once in Sri Lanka – his name was Tarquin…I wonder whatever happened to him?). Like Puerto de la Cruz, a beach party takes place on the eve of San Juan with live rock and reggae on the agenda.Location: Playa de las Teresitas, Santa Cruz
